Business Development Specialist

In summary, our successful candidate will be responsible for:
• All facets of sales from lead generation through closure
• Development, delivery and evaluation of e-commerce seminars with resulting full service client conversion from the attending seminar participants list
• Writing and promoting the Marketing Smartt blog
• Adding to our expertise in selling to an increasingly multicultural client population
• Continuing the development of a database of qualified leads through referrals, telephone canvassing, face to face cold calling, direct mail, email, and networking with business owners
• Positively representing the company in person, email, Twitter, and all present and future social medias.
Job Requirements
- • 3-5 years experience in providing successful recommendations, closing sales prospects and meeting sales targets or quotas|
- • High self-motivation and demonstrated success in working with both technical and non-technical team members
- • Excellent English writing skills gained through a post-secondary degree
- • Presentation skills
- • Seminar design, coordination and delivery skills
- • Product knowledge in Web design, Internet Marketing, SEO, Social Media, and PPC Management
- • Experience working with Agile Development, and Scrum techniques
- • Ability to sell consultatively and provide successful recommendations to prospects and existing clients that meet their specific business needs, including creating and conducting effective proposal presentations and RFPs
- • Organization and Time Management skills are key
- • Accurate account recordkeeping of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities within assigned territory, regardless of outcome
- • Perform other duties as a member of the team
Compensation and Benefits
- • A base salary of $36,000 to $40,000 yearly + commission ( $45,000 – $75,000 annual potential)
