Content Strategist
Location: Burnaby, BC
Summary of Position:
We are looking for a sharp minded and adaptive Content Strategist (CS) who can develop & structure exceptional creative content for our internal projects and client engagements. The CS will be responsible for researching internal and external sources to generate ideas and guide the creative content approach of a project. The CS defines the story of the online experience and combines it successfully with editorial standards and business objectives of the project to guide the type, style tone and grouping of online content.
The CS must collaborate closely with User Interface Designers, Graphic Artists, SEO Specialists, Analytics, Social Media and Project Manager to ensure strategic continuity of content, design and business objectives across different elements of an online project.
The ideal candidate will be able to create a perfect marriage between branding and the online narrative to create unique user experiences that help execute the business objectives of the project. In addition, we are searching for team members who:

Primary Responsibilities
• Develop strategic ideas and content to inspire, shape, and create memorable and directed online experiences
• Create, communicate and direct the content strategy for a project with a focus on branding, marketing, business goals and visitor needs
• Develop and maintain the online content inventory and information including url’s, keywords, page titles, etc.
• Develop and maintain a Facet Map that documents the categories, dimensions and values of content elements, their relationships and the rules for their display
• Act as and collaborate with Copywriters to ensure the content achieves business goals and supports the desired visitor experience
• Ensure content cohesion between different online platforms (Website, Social Media, etc.) and coordinate strategic continuity across all deliverables
• Continuously research new industry trends and identify best methods for implementing new concepts in order to achieve business objectives
Other Duties
• Participate in suggesting, evaluating, reviewing and executing the implementation of new technical solutions based on company’s business objectives
• Provide weekly written reports to immediate supervisor
• Other related duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience as a member of a multidisciplinary Web design/development team
• Knowledge and background in business & marketing strategy with a demonstrable understanding of marketing, branding, audience analysis, and usability issues
• Fluency with content management systems, content analysis, and content structure modeling
• Proven ability to balance multiple projects, work with various creative and technical specialists, and deliver against aggressive and demanding deadlines
• History of independent thinking, decision-making, and consensus-building
• Strong consulting and presentation skills
• Strong client service, communication, and team-building skill
• Strong analytical, strategic, planning, and organizational skills
• Able to navigate complex client relationships and respond with diplomacy and graceful tact
Benefits
• An annual salary range of $55,000- $70,000 based on experience
